As we hurtle headlong into summer, I thought I’d feature some of our bestselling menswear pieces – perfect for laidback lounging, hardcore holidaying and everything in between. These pieces would make great gifts for summer birthdays and for Father’s Day too.
From Royal Ascot to Goodwood – and everything in between – we’re racing headlong into the summer season. As our diaries start to fill with days out and soirees, I bring you Place du Soleil – a vibrant edit of uplifting pieces that will deliver alfresco elegance to any event. Exquisite details – embroidery, contrast stitching, frills, tiers, tassels and piping – amp up the wow factor. Just add sunshine.
It is widely known that the world’s most prestigious flower show is the perfect opportunity to show off a beautiful floral outfit. However, with over 30 gardens to admire, a multitude of stalls to browse and the plant-packed Great Pavilion to explore, there’ll be lots to jam into a day’s visit, so comfort is pivotal too. Take a look at my edit of easy-to-wear outfits – styled with throw-on layers, comfy shoes and roomy bags – to ensure you have the best day possible!
There’s no doubt about it, a pretty top is the perfect, transitional buy now item and the simplest way to update your look for the season ahead. What’s more, you can wear a stylish blouse with all your wardrobe staples, whether you’re headed back to the office, working from home, catching up with friends or off on an evening out.
I love it that bohemian-style dresses are trending this season. Laidback and liberated, the looser fitting silhouette makes for easy-to-wear pieces that are not only feminine and flowing, but super comfortable too. Here’s a handpicked edit of my favourite boho styles – a mix of block and ditsy prints, in a muted palette of soft chalky colours. Charming details – billowing sleeves, delicate ruffles, crochet trims, tassels and voluminous tiers make these dresses even more special and bring them bang up to date.
With wedding season imminent and summer balls on the horizon too, it’s time to rise to the occasion in stunning style. My handpicked edit of statement dresses features beautiful pieces you’ll look forward to wearing, wherever your diary takes you. Style with elegant accessories – jewellery, heels, a shawl or a clutch – and elevate your look to the next level. A spritz of Elnett and you’re good to go!
My customers literally love this French brand! Not only are the pieces always very stylish and easy to wear, but they’re very affordable too. But not at the detriment of the fabrics and the quality, which are both superb. This season’s collection features, as always, great holiday clothing, whether you’re on a staycation or travelling overseas, be it a beach holiday or city break. Wear with flat sandals and a beach bag during the day, then add wedges and a clutch for a stylish night out.
Known for its unique prints and exquisite embroidery detailing, this label boasts a relaxed, bohemian vibe with beautiful pieces you’ll wear again and again. The stylish colour palette features soft, chalky shades that are easy to wear and will integrate into your wardrobe with ease. I’m very excited to announce the arrival of our Ecru Two Pocket Jeans! An alternative to bright white, these are in a warmer ivory wash, softer on the eyes — and look just as great teamed with head-to-toe neutrals, floral prints – or stand-out brights. Available in two styles, one pair are in an all-over ecru, the others feature a decorative ric rac trim around the front pocket to make them that little bit more special. Scroll down to view both new styles, as well as our bestselling blue and black jeans, re-styled with a selection of our pretty blouses for the season ahead.
Delighted to be stocking Australian brand ONE SEASON again this year. Their summer dresses were so popular last year, not least due to their sophisticated prints, easy-to-wear silhouettes and day-to-evening appeal. This latest collection beautifully encompasses summer-chic, with easy-to-care for styles whether you holiday in Brighton, Barbados or somewhere in between.
Pretty spring blouses and shirts are the easiest way to instantly update your spring/summer look and will fit into your current wardrobe with ease. Simply team with a pair of jeans to create the perfect partnership. Throw on a neutral knit or denim jacket and you’re dressed for the chillier days too! Here’s an edit of some of my favourite blouses, styled with other pieces from the current collection, including our new Macarena Espadrilles.
Those of you who have been following Cleverly Wrapped for a while will know that I’ve created Mother’s Day edits in the past, featuring my Mum.
Versatile, easy to style and so comfy to wear, I’m delighted the trend for longer skirts is everywhere this season. Not only can a maxi or midi work across multiple dress codes – from weekends to work days and special occasions to a romantic night out – but you’ll be wearing it all year round too.
With spring in the air, it’s time to refresh your wardrobe with one of this season’s must-have printed blouses. Whether you say it with flowers – or with stripes – our collection of pretty tops can be worn solo, over a pretty camisole – or layered under one of our knitted vests. Designed with a relaxed silhouette, as is the current trend, these styles are perfect for wearing loose or tucking neatly into skirts and trousers. Great for day wear and into the evening too…
Time to jazz things up this week with some great new knitwear from Parisian brand Les Tricots de Léa. The latest collection features a mix of styles – v-necks, vests and a crop cardigan – all great for layering over this season’s blouses and t-shirts, but great as solo pieces too.
We’ve lots more newness in the shop this week – a great mix of pieces perfect for now, but that you’ll continue to wear as the temperature start to rise. To ease you through the transition from winter into spring, I’ve put together some styling ideas to keep you cosy during the ongoing chill. Come blue skies and sunshine you can shed the layers and simply dress in less.
There is much excitement in the shop this week with the arrival of our new Diana Wilson Arcana scarves. This is my fifth season stocking these beautiful wool shawls and the latest designs, as always, feature a very wearable array of colours along with Diana’s unique artworks. Each scarf is then elegantly finished with her signature pom pom trim in a contrasting colour.
After a long search to replace my much loved but expensive Citizens of Humanity jeans, I came across FIVE JEANS, a French brand that ticked all the boxes – a flattering fit, high quality denim, great shapes and a good price too. Having stocked them last season, when they sold incredibly well, I’ve purchased 3 new styles for spring – a boyfriend, a flare and a tapered, slim fit.
Once favoured by Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot and Marlon Brandon the humble Breton top remains a wardrobe essential the world over. Its popularity today shows no signs of waning, having recently been seen on the Duchess of Cambridge, Anna Wintour and Kate Moss too…
Popularised by Coco Chanel and embraced by women the world over, this timeless striped staple transcends trends and yet has never felt more current – a true wardrobe icon that will deliver time and time again. The perfect piece for transitional dressing, we’ve teamed ours with our bestselling CW jeans, but you can style with almost everything in your wardrobe, from tracksuit pants and maxi skirts to smart tailoring and summer shorts…
