4 Looks to Take You Towards Autumn

Although, summer’s not over quite yet, there’s no time like the present to start thinking about (and shopping for!) your new season wardrobe.

When dressing for transitional weather—where one day feels like peak heat and the next is positively chilly— focussing on wardrobe essentials is a must. Think lightweight outerwear, notable knits, new shape denims, all-in-one-outfit dresses and timeless tanks – all of which can be worn on their own or layered together.

With a distinct nod to the 70’s, jeans are getting looser, wider legged and higher in the waist. To balance all that denim, team with a floaty and feminine blouse. Tuck it into the waist to create definition and to refine the silhouette.

A sculptural denim blouse will transcend the seasons with ease. Team with needlecord jeans – the go-to fabric for A/W 2024 – and a cosy sleeveless waistcoat.

A beautiful denim midi dress is perfect for the tail end of summer, styled with sandals or trainers. Come autumn, switch to a pair of leather boots. Ankle boots are great but it’s knee-highs you’ll start seeing everywhere from September.

It won’t be long before you’ll appreciate having a transitional knit in the wardrobe and this soft blue, mohair-mix sweater, with a puff sleeve and twist-front, is a fashion-forward piece that will instantly update any look.
