HELLO NOVEMBER
There’s no stopping the imminent arrival of colder weather – and as someone who feels the chill, as soon as the temperature drops, I’ll be piling on the layers.
The challenge is how to stay cosy while maintaining a stylish aesthetic – entirely possible if you’ve got a gilet or waistcoat to hand.
Not only will it keep you toasty warm, but the sleeveless silhouette can be layered with everything, from light knits to winter coats. The key is to stick to a neutral palette, so you can style it with as many items as possible!
All items featured in the layouts below are available in both stores or online..
This soft 100% wool waistcoat, in an understated soft navy, has a stylish but relaxed fit and can be worn fully fastened or open. It will sit beautifully over long-sleeve tees, blouses and fine knits, whilst also sitting cosily beneath a jacket or coat.
The jetted pockets add quality and depth.
A standout, longline layering piece, this knee-length lined gilet will add instant insulation, whilst being flattering (elongating!) and stylish too. The ecru shade will go with everything and the khaki piping adds line and definition.
The ultimate draft excluder!
This wool-mix vest will add that extra layer warmth, whilst looking stylish and on-trend, with it’s oversized proportions. The cap-sleeve and patch pockets elevate the piece, so it works for a more dressed-up look too.
A very good price for what it is!
What could be more versatile than a go-anywhere wool over-shirt. This one in charcoal, has a subtle olive fleck in it, which breaks up the density. The oversize silhouette ensures you can style it over a layering piece or fine wool knit.
The wool buttons which give it a robust jacket vibe.
Our CW mohair gilets are a new addition to the own-label collection and are available in 3 colours – Oatmeal, Fern and Navy. Understated and elegant, the loose, boxy fit works well with high-waisted jeans and trousers, as well as dresses.
The open front (no fastenings!) is clean and unfussy, so it doesn’t require any styling. Literally throw on and go!
