I seem to be having an obsession with the colour palette of navy, orange and khaki at the moment so I thought I would share some outfits with you. I love adding a splash of orange to add colour and warmth and I love navy and khaki as base colours.
If you want to see even more outfits along these lines take a look at my Instagram Story where I try on several different looks in the shop.
A backdrop of khaki – eg. this full-length quilted puffa coat – really makes an orange cashmere scarf pop! Through the colder months loop around the neck to bring some warmth and colour to a winter complexion – and to energise a neutral outfit too.
This beautiful wool scarf and leather belt bag, both at the orangey-red end of the colour spectrum, really ignite when worn with a darker tone of khaki. A white tee and trainers break up the intensity and allow the outfit to breath.
This classic, understated navy coat creates the perfect backdrop for some vibrant accessorising and our orange bobble hat and fingerless gloves are the perfect accompaniment, the cable knit stitch adding texture and depth.
With navy and orange being complementary colours on a colour wheel, our burnt orange jumper and indigo jeans harmoniously pop when teamed together. The vibrance of the jumper can be toned down with the addition of a patterned twilly scarf.
If you’re not quite ready to commit to a solid block of orange, opt for a patterned scarf featuring intermittent bursts of colour. The navy jumper and khaki cargo pants create a neutral backdrop that beautifully amplifies the orange print.
Teaming a navy knit with indigo denims creates a seamless vertical backdrop that can be accessorised with any colour. That’s why our rainbow wool scarf works so well – and the addition of these cashmere gloves, really emphasises the orange in the check.
