Styling Jackets, Shackets and Gilets

It seems that over the last week we have gone from wet and windy to cold and in need of a jacket. Hence this blog where I have had a go at styling jackets, shackets and gilets in different ways.

The majority of items featured are from Cleverly Wrapped but sometimes I have used key pieces from your wardrobe such a jeans or a breton stripe to show you different looks.

All of our coats, jackets, shackets and gilets are ideal for Autumnal dressing and most of them can be worn both indoors and out which is an added bonus. I hope you enjoy the different ideas and seek some inspiration in deciding how to pull your looks together this season.

Chico Soleil Ecru Faux Fur Gilet Inspiration

Super cosy and with a distinctly bohemian vibe, this gilet is ideal for wearing as an extra layer over shirts and jumpers, but also looks great over this season’s long dresses. It is beautifully lined with a contrasting floral print, has snug deep side pockets and fun suede ties with pink beaded tassels which give it an extra edge and enable you to tie it if you want to.

This piece is the perfect cross between a shirt and a jacket. It can be worn as a layering piece or as a jacket over a jumper. It’s great for transitional dressing and casual off-duty looks. The neutral colour means this garment should work well with everything in your wardrobe and the thick yet soft cord means it is super warm, practical and cosy. The shacked is also available in a dark teal.

The back has a kick pleat which means it really moves with you when you wear it and makes it look great from behind.

So now I have bombarded you with different looks I hope you are feeling inspired as opposed to overwhelmed. Please do call me if you have any questions. I am always happy to help with sizing as I know it can be tricky buying on line when all the sizes are so different between the brands.

I’ll be back with more blogs soon!
